A versatile and prolific actor equally adept at dramatic and comedy roles, AJ Buckley has appeared in more than 25 feature films and numerous hit television series. He has been best known to global television audiences for his acclaimed role for the past nine seasons as forensic scientist Adam Ross on CBS's long-running crime series "CSI: NY."
Born in Ireland, Buckley migrated to Canada at the age of 6. He spent his teenage years in British Colombia, where he began his acting career in the television series "The Odyssey" and quickly began landing guest-starring roles on hit American shows such as "The X-Files" and "Millennium."
Since making his memorable feature debut in the teen horror-thriller Disturbing Behavior, opposite James Marsden and Katie Holmes, Buckley's big-screen roles have included The In Crowd, Blue Car and the heartfelt and captivating Skateland, in which he starred as Teddy Tulos, the owner of a small-town Texas skating rink in the early 1980s.
Buckley's television appearances include an episode of the multi-Emmy-nominated HBO comedy series "Entourage", in which he guest-starred as a struggling writer and jealous boyfriend of Anna Farris. Other TV credits include "Without a Trace," "NYPD Blue," "Jack and Jill," and "Bones." But it was Buckley's recurring role as Ed Zeddmore, the leader of a group of wannabe ghost hunters in the popular CW series "Supernatural" that led him to star, write, and direct the Warner Bros. original web series "The Ghostfacers."
In November 29, 2012, Buckley appeared in an episode of the hit TV series "Flashpoint (V)" as Harold Winger, a brilliant pianist caught in the confines of Schizoaffective Disorder. Audiences watched as Harold was driven both to the depths of madness and to a more beautiful love for his daughter Suzy. In the culmination of his extreme paranoia he kidnaps his neighbor’s daughter, mistaking her for his own. The episode "Fit for Duty" aired on Canada’s CTV and the ION Network in the US.
Buckley is a partner in Passcode Ent. producing several television and feature projects. He recently finished producing "Talent: The Casting Call" with Alloy Entertainment. North of Hell is scheduled to start production in Louisiana next month.
